Introduction

Bistriţa- Năsăud county is located in the northwestern part of Romania, being placed between the counties of Maramures to the north, Suceava to the east, Mureş to the south and Cluj to the west, having a surface of 535 520 ha. The territory of the county is varied and complex, arranged in the form of a large natural amphitheater with opening in steps towards the Transylvanian Plain.
